With the holiday tournament season rapidly approaching, three of the top showcase leagues in the United States held fall events the weekend of Nov. 21-23.

The Northeast Pack Hockey League is made up of six Tier 1 youth hockey organizations from the Northeast along with Little Caesars, which became a member at the 18U level for the 2025-26 season, from the Midwest. In addition, the Long Island Gulls have been replaced by the Woodbridge Wolfpack from New Jersey this year. NE Pack teams from the 14U, 15O, 16U and 18U age groups were in Pittsburgh for a showcase that was hosted by Pens Elite Nov. 21-23.

Meanwhile, more than 80 USA & Canada Boys teams were in Massachusetts from two North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) divisions for the league’s annual East Division Showcase at the sprawling New England Sports Center in Marlboro Nov. 21-24. Teams from both the NAHPL Tier 1 Hockey League (T1ER) and the SHOW Division, including some of the top Tier 1 and 2 programs in the country, competed at the 14U, 16U and 18U levels.

The third and final event we are highlighting from the weekend of Nov. 21-23 took place in Michigan as 18U Boys teams from the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (T1EHL) converged to compete in one of the league’s in-season showcases. Thirty T1EHL teams participated in an event that included 19 of the top 60 USA Boys Tier 1 18U teams, according to our Week 9 MHR Rankings.

Northeast Pack 14U - 18U Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Showcase

Joining Little Caesars and the Woodbridge Wolfpack for the Pittsburgh NE Pack weekend were the New Jersey Rockets, Mid-Fairfield Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite, Bishop Kearney Selects and Mount St. Charles. Most of those NE Pack member clubs regularly qualify teams that compete for USA Hockey national championships in multiple age groups. There also were guest steams from strong Tier 1 organizations participating in Pittsburgh.

The NE Pack season consists of six showcase weekends spaced throughout the member teams’ regular seasons, with the playoffs scheduled to be played in February at the Utica University Nexus Center in New York.

NE Pack Pittsburgh Showcase games began Friday, Nov. 21, and concluded Sunday, Nov. 23, and were played at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Center and Robert Morris University Island Sports Center. All games should be available for on-demand viewing via LiveBarn.

NAPHL East Division Showcase

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) returned to the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, Mass., for the second consecutive season to host an event that featured competition at both the league’s T1ER and SHOW levels. The NAPHL has a direct affiliation with the North American Hockey League (NAHL), the only USA Hockey-sanctioned tuition-free junior league in the United States, and the North American Tier 3 Hockey League (NA3HL). NAPHL teams come together during their seasons to compete in showcase weekends that provide NAHL coaches and scouts with an opportunity to see hundreds of the nation’s top youth hockey prospects playing in one location.

Games began Friday, Nov. 21, and ran through Monday, Nov. 24. All NAPHL games can be viewed on-demand at NAHLTV.com.

The NAPHL is divided into three leagues: the T1ER, which is comprised only of USA Boys Tier 1 teams; the SHOW, which includes Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams; and the Fall League, which offers games only in September and October.
