2025-26 Week #2 Team Ratings and Rankings Released
For the third year in a row, MYHockey Rankings set a new record with over 1.39 million pageviews on opening day of the 2025-26 season last Wednesday. We want to thank the entire hockey community for your support and interest in MHR. We hope our platform has had a positive impact on your family's hockey experience. Week #2 team ratings and rankings are now live. This week’s team ratings and rankings brings another level of maturity to the data. The number of rankable game results grew by 12,112 to just over 39k total. The number of teams in a live ranking category has increased 60% to 6,529 teams.
Remember, hundreds of new teams will reach the five game minimum and enter the rankings each week early on in the season. All but a very select few teams at the top of the rankings will drop over the next month as we triple the number of teams that qualify for the five game minimum. The big takeaway here is, it's normal to see your team drop in the rankings. Keep an eye on your team rating and its relative position compared to other teams in your league and/or area. This will give you the best idea of how your team is evolving early in the season.
It’s a huge week for our friends in Ontario. More than twenty-five new Ontario ranking categories went live this week. The first USA High School state rankings were also released. See the full list and links below:
- Ontario AAA Boys → U16, U15, U14, U13, U12, U11, U10
- Ontario AA Boys → U16, U15, U14, U13, U12, U11, U10
- Ontario A Boys → U16 Check, U15 Check, U14 Check, U13, U12, U11, U10
- Ontario Girls AA → U22, U18, U15, U13
- Ontario Girls A → U18, U15, U13
- Ontario Girls BB → U18, U15, U13
- High School (Varsity) → Illinois, Arizona
- High School (JV) → Illinois
A quick update on the organization of teams and leagues in MYHockey. We aim to have all competitive (travel) leagues, divisions and teams updated to reflect the real organization of youth hockey teams across North America. We have updated every team and division of 50+ leagues, and volunteers have helped update hundreds of league divisions. But still there are still dozens of leagues and thousands of teams waiting to be updated for this season. So please alert our admin team of any changes that are still needed to be made!
