
New Communication and Scheduling Tools Now Available!
MYHockey Rankings (MHR) is excited to release our freshly upgraded membership portal with all new team to team communication features and scheduling tools. It’s a full circle moment for MHR’s founder, Neil, who originally developed the website 24 years ago to help his son’s team find and schedule competitive opponents.
For the first time in MHR history, authorized members and team contacts will be able to connect with and message opposing teams for scheduling purposes directly in MHR’s platform. While MHR has been used by leagues, associations and teams to help with scheduling and competitiveness since its inception, the hockey community has always had to find ways to connect outside of MHR’s platform via email, phone or social media. Not anymore, connecting with opposing teams has never been easier!
The new membership portal features are designed to ease the burden on coaches, team managers and club admins. The upgrades will allow authorized users to connect directly with other teams for scheduling purposes. The new messaging and team to team communication tools are fully integrated into the existing scheduling features as well as the new open dates feature giving users the tools to not only find, but also communicate with opposing teams.
Verified team contacts will also receive basic access to messaging features. Team contacts will be able to receive and respond to messages. Team contacts interested in full access to team to team communication features and scheduling tools can upgrade to a team membership account.
Membership Portal Upgrades
Existing team members will find an enhanced account homepage, this includes a new team-centric membership widget with improved accessibility to primary features and communication tools.
Team to Team Communication & Messaging
Authorized team members will receive full access to all team to team messaging features and scheduling tools. The team to team messaging features are fully integrated into the “Scheduling Resources” section tools, such as Open Dates, Find Competitive Opponents and Schedule Analysis, to facilitate seamless communication on the spot. Please note that messaging is only available with teams that have authorized members and/or team contacts. Some features may be limited with teams that have no authorized users.
Add Open Dates
Members can now add Open Dates to their team schedule through the membership widget. The “Add Open Dates” feature allows teams the option to provide additional details such as a specific date, looking to host or travel, ice time (if hosting), maximum travel distance (if traveling) and maximum rating difference between teams.
Team Info Page & Open Dates
All open date entries will be publicly displayed on the team info page. The open dates entries will appear at the top of the team info page as well as in the game scores table, similar to a played game or scheduled game. Open Dates will appear in purple with an opponent listed as TBD to help differentiate them from a scheduled game or played game. Users can easily see other team’s open date information and details for scheduling purposes.
Find Open Dates
The Find Open Dates feature in the Scheduling Resources section allows members to filter and search for opposing teams that have existing open dates in the system. Search by date (up to 3 days), by team rating and distance. Let the system do all the hard work and find competitive opponents that meet your team’s specific criteria.
