2025-26 Team Ratings and Rankings are Live!
Welcome back youth hockey fans! MYHockey Rankings' first rankings of the 2025-26 season are finally here. The Week #1 rankings update includes USA Boys national, district and state rankings (9U through 18U), USA Girls national and district rankings (14U through 19U), and Canada Girls Tier 1 rankings (U15 through U22).
- USA Boys → Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, Midget Minor, Midget Major
- USA Girls → 14U, 16U, 19U
- Canada Girls Tier 1 → U15, U18, U22
The remainder of teams and ranking categories, including Ontario and Canada Boys, USA Girls 12U & 10U, Ontario Girls, Canada Tier 2 Girls, High School, Juniors and College, remain a work in progress. They will be released in the coming weeks and months when enough teams have reached the five game minimum.
MHR has a (5) game minimum requirement to be ranked. At this time in the season, more than half of eligible boys and girls teams simply do not qualify for the rankings. If your team has played five (5) games but is not ranked because not all of the game scores have been recorded in MHR, we strongly encourage you to submit missing game scores. We will update the rankings every Wednesday morning through April.
It’s only September, which means two things… First, the rankings are less than perfectly accurate. With so few games played, the mathematics can be skewed significantly by one or two really good or really bad games. Second, your team has plenty of time to improve its ranking. We see teams climb the ladder week in week out as the season moves along!
During the early parts of the season, hundreds of new teams will reach the five game minimum each week. As a result, most teams except for a very select few at the top will drop in the rankings over the next month as the number of teams that meet the five game minimum grows. Do not be distracted by this, keep an eye on your team rating and its relative position compared to other teams in your league or area.
