Ranking Updates

2020-21 Week #25 Rankings Released

MYHockey Week #25 Rankings have been released. Volunteers and members added nearly 2,300 game scores to MYHockey over the past week!

It was an exciting weekend for NCAA Mens D1 hockey as they paired from 16 playoff teams to the Frozen Four.  On Thursday April 8th, Minn-Duluth will play UMass in a replay of the last National Championship game (in 2019).  In the other semi-final, two Minnesota schools (St Cloud State, Minnesota State) who have never appeared in a National Championship game will compete to see which team could make history.  A few quick notes... that's three Minnesota schools in the Frozen Four, and none of them are the University of Minnesota.  Minn Duluth has one the last two National Championships and are quickly becoming a dynasty in their success.  Coach Scott Sandelin's son is a standout for Minnesota State.  Should be an awesome Frozen Four in the 'burgh.

Speaking of the State of Hockey (Minnesota), they completed all their youth state championships this past week and all the results have been posted.  Six of the 10 State Champions at the youth level were #1 ranked teams, a modern day record for the state of hockey where typically any team who makes the state tournament can come out the winner.  Congrats to the winners below:

Playdowns continue across the US as teams vie for a few remaining spots at USA Hockey's National Championships hosted in late April across the country.  After last year's cancelation, I know we are all looking forward to a great set of championship events this year.

On that note, in two weeks we will be running our weekly rankings on Monday April 12th at 12noon ET (instead of Tuesday night) in order to have the most updated rankings data in the hands of USA Hockey's National Tournament Committee.  Please note that all data that week will be due by Monday at noon ET.
