2012-13 Week #26 Rankings Released

USA Hockey National Championship fields are almost set. MYHockey has identified all but a couple 230 or so participants. If you see any omissions or mistakes, please drop us a line so that we can have things squared away.

Thought I'd share what happened last weekend at the NCAA D3 level. The NCAA D3 Men's Frozen Four was held in Lake Placid, NY where the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Bluegolds won their first ever National Championship and their league, the NCHA, just won its third consecutive title. That said, the league is breaking up next season. The NCAA D3 Womens tournament was held in Superior, WI where the Elmira Golden beat Middlebury and claimed the title.

The NCAA Women's D1 championships will be held this weekend in Minneapolis with games starting on Friday March 22nd. Mercyhurst will play Boston University and Boston College will play the undefeated University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. NCAA Men's D1 playoff action will continue as all the leagues will crown champions and we'll get the tournament field of 16 set on Sunday. The WCHA will hold its tournament at the home of the Minnesota Wild (Xcel Energy Center) in St Paul, MN. The CCHA will hold its tournament at the home of the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena. Hockey East will hold it's tournament at the Gardens, home of the Boston Bruins. The ECAC will hold its last tournament in Atlantic City this weekend before returning to Lake Placid next year and Atlantic Hockey will be in Rochester, NY. There will be some unbelievable hockey this weekend, I recommend finding a rink if at all possible.
