2012-13 Week #7 Rankings Released

MYHockey Week #7 rankings bring one big change this week. All August games have been relabeled as non-counting games from a rating/ranking perspective. As MYHockey has done for the past three years, we have changed all August games, which are considered summer hockey in both Ontario and the US, to non-counting beginning the first ranking in November. While these games can be helpful to get the season started, many are played under different circumstances and what are supposed to be summer rosters. These games remain in the system, they will simply not be used in the ratings/rankings calculation process. Going forward, volunteers and guests will no longer be able to enter new August games into the system.

Elsewhere, Shattuck's dominance becomes more pronounced as they occupy the #1 spot in the US at 18U Tier 1, 16U Tier 1 and the #2 spot at 98 Tier 1. The Chicago Mission find themselves ranked in the top 3 in all but one of their rankings and the Toronto Marlies are in the top 2 in all but one of the Ontario rankings (and that's because they lose their top talent at the Major Midget level). And one last accolade goes out to the Burnaby Winter Club (Vancouver, BC) for winning two of the three divisions they entered this past weekend in the Bauer World Hockey Invite. Congrats to these top programs as they consistently field some of the best teams in North America.
